EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS
Louise Gilbert is founder of EmpowerKidsNow.com. Educated in Australia, Louise graduated from Monash University with a Law Degree, Bachelor of Arts in English, and teaching qualifications (Graduate Diploma in Education). Louise is a trained Child Meditation Facilitator, a Certified Master Practitioner of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Time-Line Therapy™ and hypnotherapy.
Throughout her career, Louise has maintained a strong belief in the importance of continued personal and professional development, and therefore seeks out every opportunity she can to continue to learn. In addition to her formal qualifications she has completed training courses in brain dominance theory, thinking and learning styles, pastoral care and guidance, adolescent counseling, technology in the classroom and motivational strategies. Louise has also studied with Anthony Robbins, a recognized authority in the field of leadership and peak performance, and she completed Robbins' Mastery University program in 2005.
EXPERIENCE
As founder of EmpowerKidsNow.com, Louise teaches innovative educational workshops and provides coaching to adults, parents, children, teachers and schools.
As a teacher, Louise has wide experience, having lived and worked in Australia, the United Kingdom and now residing in the United States. She has taught in public, private and international schools and has also been Head of Year Level, where she was responsible for pastoral care of Junior High students.
Whilst living in the UK, Louise worked as an educational consultant for Seagull Productions, developing workshops on the issue of bullying. These workshops were delivered in elementary schools throughout Scotland.
Louise worked as a telephone counselor and team trainer for Childline Scotland, where she counseled young people on issues such as bullying, eating disorders, exam stress, learning difficulties, depression, suicide, teenage pregnancy, drug and alcohol abuse and sexual abuse.
As a Life Coach, Louise is also experienced in coaching adults. She focuses on working with clients to help them achieve their goals, create ultimate success and happiness in all aspects of their lives. Louise’s experience coaching adults is varied and includes assisting clients to increase success in business, create closer relationships with their children, lose weight, quit smoking, create more money and discover life purpose. She has also worked with client’s in the areas of health issues, obsessive compulsive disorders, intimate relationships, family relationships, career development and spiritual development.
Louise is a passionate and enthusiastic public speaker and engages her audiences with stories, strategies and experiences that change lives. After attending one of Louise's seminars, S. Romina wrote "Louise - you should be on Oprah!"
In addition, Louise has worked in the publishing industry, amateur theatre and as a freelance writer. Currently, Louise is writing her first book entitled "Empower Kids Now". She is happily married and mother to two beautiful children.
GIVING BACK
Louise is committed to making a difference in the world through various charitable efforts, giving back to those who are less fortunate than herself.
A founding Trustee of the India Street Kids Project from 2003-2006, a charity which provides refuge, education, life-skills and work skills training to girls involved in or at risk from child prostitution in India. For more information visit www.indiastreetkids.org.

In 2004, Louise made a charity trip to Gliwice, Poland where she worked with Habitat for Humanity (www.habitat.org), digging the foundations of new homes for low-income families. While she was in Poland, Louise accompanied a group of teenagers on an emotional and enlightening visit to Auschwitz concentration camp.
After hearing about the devastation caused by the tsunami across Asia in late 2004, Louise visited Project C.U.R.E. (www.projectcure.org) and packed boxes of medical supplies that were shipped to countries affected by this tragedy. She continues to donate to this worthy cause.
